The Year 10 Science Camp is an annual event run by the John Innes Centre in Norwich, giving school students based in Norfolk and Suffolk the opportunity to experience life as a scientist at JIC and our partner institutes on the Norwich Research Park.
Year 10 Science Camp offers a full programme of scientific training and workshops in our world class facilities, as well as two days of individual work placements in our laboratories and science support services.
The event runs for a week in June or July each year during which students will participate in a week-long structured training programme which includes interactive workshops, networking sessions, practical training and lab experience.
Participants have the option to use the week as their work experience, or simply as a science enrichment activity supported by their school. Please note we do not offer any other form of work experience to Year 10 students.
If you are really passionate about science as a possible career then this is the experience for you.
Applications for the 2017 programme open on 31st October 2016.
