Neurodiversity resources
We are developing and sharing resources to help support Neuroinclusivity.
- Neuroinclusive communications guide
We developed and launched a Neuroinclusive Communications Guide as part of our Understanding, Valuing and Celebrating Neurodiversity Project.
It is packed with practical tips and strategies to help us all communicate in ways that are clear, accessible, and respectful of Neurodivergent individuals — whether in meetings, emails, presentations, or events. Neuroinclusivity is about recognising that everyone thinks and processes information differently. By embracing this and making small changes in how we communicate, we can create a more supportive environment.
The guide covers everything from using Neuroaffirmative language to designing accessible documents and making meetings more inclusive. It’s designed to help everyone, regardless of role, engage and collaborate effectively.
We’re keen to hear any feedback or ideas you have about our guide, especially any research-specific Neuroinclusivity practices that we could include.
If you would like the guide in a format other than PDF, please contact: comms@jic.ac.uk
