3D protein models
The Protein Crystallography platform is now able to print 3D models of your favourite proteins directly from PDB files.
These models can bring your science to life for outreach activities, as a personalised gift for a colleague, or simply as a colourful addition to your office.
The team can print your proteins in a single colour of your choice and in a variety of sizes, from tiny 1cm replicas up to 20cm display models. They can also print an additional personalised base for your model to rest on.
The cost of these models varies depending on size and additional extras such as bases. A representative globular protein model of 6cm diameter would be £100, with an additional £30 for a base.
