Lionel Hill

Lionel runs the small molecule mass spectrometry lab, part of the John Innes Centre’s Biomolecular Analysis facility.

The lab provides support to those who need to analyse chemicals as part of their project.

For example, they help people who are developing novel antibiotics and pharmaceuticals, those interested in the chemical constituents of food that are beneficial to our health, and those interested in plant hormones and signalling molecules.

They also provide access to specialist equipment for liquid and gas chromatography, and associated mass spectrometry.
