Emma Raven

Emma is a PhD student and works as part of the Faulkner group investigating cell-to-cell communication in plants.

All plant cells are connected by membrane-lined channels called plasmodesmata. These channels are dynamic and open or close in response to different abiotic and biotic stresses.

Emma’s research focuses on how plasmodesmata are dynamically regulated in response to the presence of pathogens.
