As the Programme Manager for two BBSRC funded Institute Strategic Programmes, Advancing Plant Health (APH) and Delivering Sustainable Wheat (DSW), Eleri monitors and tracks progress within the two programmes – ensuring we meet our research objectives in line with BBSRC and JIC strategies. Both programmes are cross-institutional; JIC partnering with The Sainsbury Laboratory for APH, and JIC partnering with The Earlham Institute, The Quadram Institute, Rothamsted Research, University of Bristol, Imperial College London, Lancaster University, University of Leeds, University of Nottingham, National Institute of Agricultural Botany and the Norwich Institute of Sustainable Development for DSW.

Eleri is also responsible for reporting on our progress, interacting with stakeholders, organising events and communicating our research and impacts to funders, stakeholders and the public.

Prior to her role as Programme Manager, Eleri worked within the Plant Breeding sector, and in 2018 completed her PhD at the JIC under the guidance of Dr Judith Irwin and Prof. Dame Caroline Dean.
