Early Career Microbiologists Mini-Symposium 2024

The Department of Molecular Microbiology is organising a one and a half day Early Career Microbiologists Mini-Symposium.

The symposium will be held from Monday 23 – Tuesday 24 September 2024.

The aim of this event is for the John Innes Centre to hear about state-of-the-art science through presentations in bacterial microbiology, to enhance our understanding of where exciting new developments in the field are heading and help shape our ideas about future research areas that could be developed within the Department.

The option to hold this symposium using a hybrid format will be available, with speakers attending in person or virtually to present their research, depending upon their ability to travel.

Applications are invited from early career scientists (Post Docs and PhD Students).

The deadline for applications is Monday 10 June 2024.

Other Information

We strongly encourage all applicants to attend in person.  Reasonable travel and accommodation expenses will be covered for all invited speakers.

Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by Monday 01 July 2024.
