Dr Xianhao Jin
Postdoctoral Scientist
Xianhao investigates how co-transcriptional RNA processing and RNA decay regulate epigenetic silencing during vernalization in Arabidopsis.
Using FLC as a model, he studies how transcription elongation, polyadenylation, and RNA surveillance pathways interact to establish stable chromatin states.
He applies long-read sequencing approaches to capture full-length elongating and polyadenylated RNAs at single-molecule resolution. His current work focuses on how the nuclear exosome and RNA decay pathways shape transcriptional landscapes and contribute to Polycomb-mediated silencing at FLC.
