Dr Wipa Tangkananond

Wipa is interested in Japanese encephalitis virus expression in plants.

She teaches animal virology, plant virology and immunology at Thammasat University, Thailand and has visited Professor George Lomonossoff lab every academic vacation since 2010.

Her current research focuses on the following areas;

1. Phylogenetic tree, characteristics and pathogenesis of flavivirus with a view of evolution studying, recombination, developing vaccination and treatment
2. Medicinal plant reacts with tissue culture
3. Japanese encephalitis virus expression in plants
