Roland Wouters

Roland supports research groups with high-molecular-weight DNA extraction, Genomic analysis, and Genomic sequencing.

He communicates directly with the research group and set up projects together, from grant writing up to planning and executing the extractions and communication with sequence providers. This includes providing a costing analysis and guidance for sequencing approaches used most suitable for the biological question.

His current expertise covers:

Roland has done his PhD in Saskia Hogenhout’s lab where he worked on the genetic diversity of natural populations of Myzus persicae, a polyphagous aphid species.
