Roland Wouters

Postgraduate Researcher Plant Health

Roland is interested in studying aphid diversity, and at the moment is doing this for the green peach aphid Myzus persicae, one of the most notorious pests worldwide.

M. persicae colonises many plant species and is considered one of the most polyphagous among insect herbivores.

Roland is interested in studying genetic variation in M. persicae field populations and how this relates to plant host range preference of this aphid.
