Dr. Rodney Lacret
Visiting ScientistRodney has more than 20 years of experience working in the searching of bioactive compounds from living organisms, including bacteria, fungi and plants. He currently works as a lecturer at the Department of Physical Medicine and Pharmacology, University of La Laguna (ULL). His research focuses on the chemical bioprospecting of plants (selection of plants, evaluation of the bioactive potential of their extracts, bio-guided isolation, and structural characterization using spectroscopic techniques). He also is interested in how nature makes natural compounds (biosynthesis).
