Kirill Sukhoverkov

Kirill works as part of the Tung Le group.

Faithful chromosome segregation during division is essential for cell viability. In bacteria, this process is carried out by parABS system consisting of an ATPase protein ParA, a CTPase and DNA-binding protein ParB, and a centromere-like parS site. In his research, Kirill will elucidate a detailed mechanism of parA-parB interaction using a combination of Biochemistry, Structural Biology and Genetics methods.
