Kayla Robinson
Research Assistant
Kayla works to supports various projects in the Carella lab through non-seed plant transformations, primarily in the model liverwort Marchantia polymorpha, but also in the mosses Ceratodon purpureus and Physcomitrium patens. Alongside transformation work, Kayla can often be found maintaining the non-seed plant stocks and performing infection assays.
Kayla joined the Carella lab in spring 2022.
Prior to this, she moved to the UK from Vermont, USA in 2014. Kayla has an MSc in Molecular Medicine from the UEA, and a BSc in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from Dickinson College, USA.
