Dr Indira Saado

Postdoctoral Scientist

Indira is interested in investigating plant-pathogen interactions in the hopes of finding novel ways to improve plant health.

Their research focus is on engineering cereal immunity using structure guided design of effector/host interactions. Indira is working with rice, and the fungus Magnaporthe oryzae and will use different approach combining biochemistry, structural biology, and plant pathology to facilitate engineering resistance to blast disease.
