Govind works on modelling epigenetic mechanisms.

He uses theoretical approaches and mechanistic modelling to understand epigenetic memory and switching in multiple contexts, including:

• Regulation of Arabidopsis FLC by the Autonomous pathway
• Protein clustering in gene regulation and epigenetic memory maintenance at FLC
• Bivalency at developmental gene promoters in mammalian ESCs
