Georgia is using Arabidopsis as an experimental model to investigate how the circadian oscillator regulates plant responses to environmental stresses.

The circadian oscillator of plants has been shown to regulate plant responses to environmental stress.

Existing studies have shown nuclear encoded sigma factors to be involved in this circadian regulation, however, the mechanism of action is relatively unclear.

Georgia will also be investigating the role of this circadian regulation in increasing components of plant fitness.
