Dr Amy Briffa

Visiting Scientist

Amy has a background in modelling condensed matter physics with a preference for working closely with experimental groups.

Her PhD in Birmingham focused on geometrically frustrated classical magnets.

Subsequently, she also studied Fermi surface reconstruction in high-Tc superconductors and correlation functions of quantum magnets.

Recently she has shifted to modelling biological systems and is currently collaborating with the group of Professor Daniel Zilberman to investigate inheritance of DNA methylation.
