Dr Buse Çınar

Postdoctoral Scientist

Buse is interested in the functional diversity of NLRs in filamentous bacteria, Streptomyces.

NLR-like proteins are widespread in plants, animals, fungi and bacteria, and play a key role in immunity.

Multicellular, antibiotic-producing Streptomyces is enriched in NLR-like proteins. Beyond their well-known role in immunity, Buse explores the diverse functions and molecular mechanisms of NLR-like proteins in Streptomyces.
