Professor Anne Graham

Director NRPDTP and Chair NBI Graduate School

As Director of the BBSRC Norwich Research Park Doctoral Training Partnership (NRPDTP) which supports over 100 PhD students, Anne leads recruitment and admissions, development and enhancement of the training offer for students on the 4 year programme.

Anne approve proposals for Professional Internships for PhD Students (PIPS), staying abreast of innovations in postgraduate research training nationally, representing NRPDTP, and reporting on how the programme meets the agreed objectives to BBSRC.

As Chair of the NBI Graduate School, Anne has oversight of all postgraduate students registered at University of East Anglia who are studying on-site (JIC, TSAL, QI, EI), supporting them and the institute PGR Directors. She is the key point of contact with the UEA Postgraduate Research Service and represents NBI on the University Doctoral College Executive, ensuring good communication between UEA and NBI.

Anne has over 30 years experience as an academic, previously holding posts including PGR Director and Associate Dean for Research & Innovation at University of Bradford and running her own research group which studies mechanisms of ageing in cells lining the human blood vessels. She still contributes to this work via an MRC grant held at University of Bradford.
