Angela Payne

Angela works as Science Support Administrator at JIC, primarily supporting 2 of the largest research departments, Crop Genetics and Cell and Developmental Biology, their groups and members.    This support includes co-ordinating meetings, conferences and events, supporting travel for collaborations and PA work for the Head of Departments and Group Leaders.

Angela has a wealth of experience in administration and project management and holds a BSc Hons in Anthropology.  Her background allows her to combine anthropological insights with structured project management skills to support the departments’ activities and needs.

Angela excels at managing multiple tasks, consistently finding efficiencies and applying a coordinated approach. This strategic mindset streamlines processes and simplifies operations for all involved.  She thrives from using her expertise to help researchers, by handling tasks that allow them to focus on their core science, and by facilitating collaborations that bring people together.
