Dr Alice Brewer

Alice works closely with the Head of Science Coordination and Research Culture to provide support and guidance to John Innes Centre scientists in accessing research funding and maintaining oversight of our research portfolio.

She also works in the team that ensures the JIC’s commitment to high standards of Trusted Research and Innovation, and maintains oversight of our research portfolio and pipeline.

Alice worked for many years in research and training management within the university sector, and before that as a synthetic chemist in the drug discovery industry. She is passionate about equitable accessibility and inclusion, and creating processes and pathways that allow others to succeed.
