Acacia Simpson

Acacia studied Biochemistry at University of Lincoln, focusing mainly on plant biochemistry and graduating in the summer of 2023.

She now works on the Defra-funded FERTIGO project, which is looking at Plantain- a common weed, and its potential for making soil phosphorus and nitrogen more available for a following crop.

Previously she has worked with Clare Lister working on wheat and lodging, and Maria Hernandez-Soriano working on the WISH-Roots project to identify the potential of wheat crops to improve soil health and below-ground biodiversity
