Professor Anne Osbourn has been appointed to the scientific advisory board of the US plant-based technology company Calyxt.
Anne is one of four plant experts joining the newly established board, helping to drive the search for plant-derived therapeutics, cosmetics, fragrances and colours.
Minnesota-based Calyxt uses its proprietary TALEN® gene editing technology to work with world-class partners via technology licensing, product development, and seed sale arrangements.
“The capabilities that we’re developing have broad applications, allowing us to dream big. We’re excited to leverage the remarkable expertise of this scientific advisory board to focus Calyxt’s innovation engine on realising new opportunities” said Yves Ribeill, executive chairman of Calyxt.
