This first summer course was attended by students from the Universities of Aberystwyth, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Dundee, Glasgow, Leeds, and Oxford; University of London colleges: Bedford College, Birkbeck College, East London College, King’s College, Royal Holloway College; the Imperial College of Science and Technology; the Scottish Plant Breeding Station, East Malling Research Station, and Swanley Horticultural College.
