Steph is working as part of Professor Antony Dodd’s lab.

She is currently interested in understanding the seasonal regulation of processes associated with the circadian clock using plants as an experimental model. The circadian clock generates biological rhythms with a period of approximately 24 hours and allows plants to coordinate growth and development with daily environmental cycles. There are multiple layers of regulation associated with the circadian clock that contribute to the generation of oscillations. Understanding these regulatory processes is important because genes associated with the initiation of seasonal developmental processes may be affected as winters get warmer.
