Dr Marina Franceschetti

Marina works in the Janneke Balk group investigating iron homeostasis in plants.

She is responsible for lab management and supporting the work of other lab members.

Her current research projects include:

• Transient expression of proteins in benthamiana to study the interaction between the iron-regulated E3 ligase BTSL2 and the transcription factor FIT
• Functional characterisation of iron transporters in wheat (Triticum aestivum) and Medicago truncatula
