NUA Illustration Exhibition

Come along to Studio 20 see art and science collide.

In collaboration with Norwich University of the Arts (NUA), students in their second year of studying Illustration came to visit us and learn more about the science we do.

How do you illustrate that which cannot/is not readily seen? What happens when the micro becomes macro? How does this change our understanding of the research? What can visuals add to the conversation? How can illustration be used as a vehicle to make this research accessible to wider audiences?

In response to these questions and our research, the students have co-created a collection of visual outputs. These outcomes come together to build a Subterranean Settlement exhibition. This term points to the idea that through research, image-making & visual outputs – as part of a group – they have built an environment which unearths as well as re-imagines the micro world.
