Research interests

My principal interest has been in the development of Computational Biology methods and resources to advance work in comparative genomics at JIC, originally in the Arabidopsis/Brassica model-crop system. I was recently engaged in a large project to annotate the sequenced genespace of the Brassica rapa genome. Currently I am developing the use of Illumina transcriptome sequencing for association genetics, digital expression analysis and diversity studies in complex crop genomes such as oilseed rape and wheat.
