Clare works for David Lawson on the Protein Crystallography platform. The Protein Crystallography team use X-ray crystallography to reveal the atomic details of biological systems providing deep insights into molecular interactions, gene regulation, enzyme mechanism, protein function and protein evolution.
She manages the Biophysical Analysis platform and is line manager for Julia Mundy. The Biophysical Analysis facility has two techniques (Surface Plasmon Resonance and Isothermal Titration Calorimetry) that can be used to study a wide range of biomolecular interactions and a third technique Circular Dichroism spectroscopy) that can be used to look at the secondary structure of proteins.
She is lead for the Technician Commitment at the John Innes Centre.
