Project Leader Positions

The John Innes Centre is an international centre of excellence in plant science and microbiology.  We invite applications for Project Leader positions from creative early-career or established researchers who wish to develop independent programs relevant to any area of our portfolio. Examples of our interests include the soil – microbe – plant nexus, the biology of cereal, Brassica and legume crops and relevant model plants, and plant and microbial chemical diversity. We welcome proposals that develop and employ innovative approaches, including bioinformatics, proteomics and imaging. The full breadth of our portfolio can be seen on our website

The main criteria on which appointments are made are scientific excellence, and the promise of the proposed research program. Applications should also explain how their proposed research program would both benefit from and enhance/extend existing John Innes Centre research and capabilities.
