Independent Five-year Research Fellowships
We welcome expressions of interest from those who wish to hold Independent Research Fellowships at the John Innes Centre. Undertaking a five-year fellowship at JIC is seen as a staging towards a formal assessment for a tenured Project Leader post, and Fellows who successfully meet all the criteria will be transferred to the tenure-track programme.
Throughout the five-years Fellows are mentored by tenures John Innes Centre scientists, and are supported with extensive training opportunities.
Fellowship opportunities are available annually. See JIC vacancies for full details.
Each year the John Innes Centre host a conference for outstanding researchers who either hold, or wish to apply for, an Independent Research Fellowships.
Applicants will be able to present their proposed research area at the conference, and outstanding candidates are mentored in writing Fellowship applications and/or offered the opportunity to move their existing Fellowship to the John Innes Centre.
The conference will take place on 30th January 2017..
