The John Innes Centre is home to the Germplasm Resources Unit, a national capability supported by the BBSRC for the curation, promotion and dissemination of germplasm which serves academic, industrial and non-industrial groups both within the UK and internationally.

The Germplasm Resources Unit is one of a number of scientific databases we host.

We also manage three distinct historical collections: the archives of the John Innes Centre, the History of Genetics Library and the John Innes Foundation Rare Books collection, which are consulted by our scientists and external visitors by appointment.
