The Data and Compute section of Informatics act as an interface between the John Innes Centre’s science and Computing Infrastructure for Science.
As part of Matt’s role within that team he is developing SapFeederHub, a genomic database of insect vectors of the bacterial pathogen Xylella, as part of the BRIGIT project.
Matt is also the author of the Antirrhinum species database AntSpec which he developed while working as part of Professor Enrico Coen’s group and in a continuing collaboration.
He also works with Bioimaging and Computing Infrastructure for Science to develop and maintain the Norwich Bioscience Institutes’s Bioimaging Database.
