Dr Jonathan Moore

Research Assistant

Jonathan’s research aims to understand mechanisms and constraints on evolution of patterns of cytosine methylation found in flowering plants.

In particular, Jonathan works with large sequence data sets from bisulphite-treated DNA, and from published literature, and developing innovative analyses and integrations of these data to drive out testable hypotheses.

Previously Jonathan has led bioinformatics core teams at the Earlham Institute, and Warwick University’s Systems Biology Centre, working on analysis of gene expression, genome assembly and annotation, and ancient DNA from archaeological specimens.

Jonathan has also led his own consultancy company, providing data engineering services to Utility and Public Sector clients
