Dr Jincheng Long

Postdoctoral Scientist Genes in the Environment

DNA methylation play an important role in plant development.

Accumulating evidence suggest that male sexual lineage specific DNA methylation (MSL) was critical for normal function of genes in pollen.

However, how ambient temperature influence MSL remain unknown. Jincheng’s major work is to investigate the effect of heat stress on the MSL and whether these effects can be passed to the next generation.
