Young Microbiologists Symposium 2022

The Department of Molecular Microbiology is organising a one and a half day Young Microbiologists Mini-Symposium.

The symposium will be held from Monday 19 – Tuesday 20 September 2022.

The aim of this event is for the John Innes Centre to hear state-of-the-art presentations in bacterial microbiology, to enhance our understanding of where exciting new developments in the field are heading and help shape our ideas about future research areas that could be developed within the Department.

This symposium is expected to be held using a hybrid format with speakers attending in person or virtually to present their research, depending upon their ability to travel.

Applications are invited from early career scientists (irrespective of age).

The deadline for applications is Monday 06 June 2022.

Other Information

Where visiting Norwich is possible, travel and accommodation expenses will be covered for all invited speakers.

Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by Friday 01 July 2022.

Successful applicants are required to be available all day on Monday 19 September and a half day on Tuesday 20 September.

Those attending in person will be expected to arrive in Norwich, UK on Sunday 18 September and depart no earlier than 12:30 on Tuesday 20 September.
