Early Career Microbiologists Mini-Symposium 2025

The Department of Molecular Microbiology is organising a one and a half day Early Career Microbiologists Mini-Symposium.
The symposium will be held from Monday 15 – Tuesday 16 September 2025.
The aim of this event is for the John Innes Centre to hear state-of-the-art presentations in bacterial microbiology, to enhance our understanding of where exciting new developments in the field are heading and help shape our ideas about future research areas that could be developed within the Department.
Applications are invited from early-career scientists working on any exciting aspect of bacterial microbiology to give a 25-minute talk.
The keynote speaker for the 2025 symposium is Prof Katharina Höfer from the Max-Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology and Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany.
The option to hold this symposium using a hybrid format will be available, with speakers attending in person or virtually to present their research, depending on their ability to travel.
The deadline for applications is Monday 9 June 2025.
