Biological Chemistry

I am a research assistant in Rob Field's group. Trained as a natural product chemist I provide support in natural product isolation and structure determination, in chemical synthesis, compound purification and analysis mainly for lab members but also for researchers from across the Norwich Research Park.

My research focus is in design and synthesis, both chemical and enzymatic, and evaluation of small molecule enzyme inhibitors and their use in chemical genetics studies.

I am also interested in synthesis, purification and analysis of sugar nucleotides and their use as substrates for glycosyltransferases or sugar nucleotide processing enzymes.
