Plant pathogens
Phytoplasmas infect plants.

Genomics
The Aster Yellows phytoplasma strain Witches' Broom (AY-WB) whole genome sequence.

The AY-WB genome-sequencing project

We sequenced the 723,970-bp AY-WB genome to completion. Phytoplasmas cannot be cultured, and therefore the AY-WB genome was isolated from pulse field gels. A shotgun library was prepared and the library was sequenced to saturation. Sequences were checked for quality and assembled into five contigs. These contigs represent the 706,569 bp chromosome, and plasmids pAYWB-I (3,972 bp), pAYWB-II (4,009 bp), pAYWB-III (5,104 bp), and pAYWB-IV (4,316 bp)

The chromosome contains 671 ORFs, and the plasmids a total of 22 ORFs. Sequences and annotation can be downloaded from GenBank:
