Research interests

My expertise lies in protein chemistry: separations and micro-analytical techniques, in particular protein sequencing using both Edman chemistry and mass spectrometry (electrospray and MALDI-ToF) and how these techniques apply to studies of the proteome.  I also have some experience in solid-phase peptide synthesis of standard peptides.  My former major research interest was in underwater biological adhesives specifically those from barnacles.
