We have generated the following libraries and hold copies of each of them.

Brassica oleracea var alboglabra A12 was used to make the JBo library. The vector used was pBIBAC2.  This library consists of 33 792 clones arrayed in 88 x 384 well plates with an average insert size of 145kb which gives ca. 6.9 fold coverage of the genome. Clone selection is on Kanamycin 40μg/ml.

The publication associated with this library is:
Comparative physical mapping of segments of the genome of Brassica oleracea var. alboglabra that are homoeologous to sequenced regions of chromosomes 4 and 5 of Arabidopsis thaliana. The Plant Journal (2000) 23; 233-243. Carmel M. O’Neill and Ian Bancroft.

Brassica rapa var trilocularis R018 was used to make the JBr library. The vector used was pBIBAC2.  This library consists of 36 864 clones arrayed in 96 x 384 well plates with an average insert size of 128kb which gives ca. 7.5 fold coverage of the genome. Clone selection is on Kanamycin 40μg/ml.

The publication associated with this library is:
Conservation of the microstructure of genome segments in Brassica napus and its diploid relatives. The Plant Journal (2004) 40; 725-733. Debashis Rana, Tom van den Boogaart, Carmel M. O’Neill, Llewelyn Hynes, Elisabeth Bent, Lee Macpherson, Jee Young Park, Yong Pyo Lim and Ian Bancroft.

Brassica napus var Tapidor was used to make the JBnB library. The vector used was pBAC/SACB1.  This library consists of 73 728 clones arrayed in 192x384 well plates with an average insert size of 145kb which gives ca.7.8 fold coverage of the genome. Selection is on Chloramphenicol at 12.5μg/ml.

Brassica napus var Tapidor was used to make the JBnY library. The vector used was pYLTAC7. This library consists of 73 728 clones arrayed in 192 x 384 well plates and has an average insert size of 90kb which gives ca. 4.5 fold coverage of the genome. Clone selection is on Kanamycin at 25μg/ml.

The publication associated with this library is:
Sequence-level comparative analysis of the Brassica napus genome around two stearoyl-ACP desaturase loci. The Plant Journal (2010) 61; 591-59 Kwangsoo Cho, Carmel M. O’Neill, Soo-Jin Kwon, Tae-Jin Yang, Andrew M. Smooker, Fiona Fraser and Ian Bancroft.
