Research interests

My expertise lies in protein chemistry and proteomics: separations, micro-chemical and micro-analytical techniques, in particular protein sequencing using both Edman chemistry and mass spectrometry (electrospray and MALDI-ToF) and how these techniques apply to quantitative studies of the proteome and in-depth protein characterisation.  I also have experience in solid-phase peptide synthesis of standard peptides.  My former major research interest was in proteinaceous underwater biological adhesives specifically those from barnacles.
