The Chris Lamb Training Suite

The Chris Lamb Training Suite

In 2010 JIC started use of its purpose built training suite which was formally opened in May 2011 as the Chris Lamb Training Suite by Peter Innes, a trustee of the John Innes Foundation. The late Chris Lamb, a former director of JIC (1999-2009) placed great emphasis on the role that JIC had in training the science leaders of the future and was instrumental in bringing the Training Suite to a reality. The dedication of the facility in his name recognises that vision.

The facility provides a resource for integrated training in multidisciplinary biology through a wet laboratory, IT suite/lecture theatre, and discussion/breakout areas including a small garden area. It is used for shorter courses and longer workshops, and provides a base for the Undergraduate Studentship Programme. It also supports broader training and staff development activities.
