Transparency datasetsPublication of spend over £500JIC is an independent charitable research institute funded by charitable and industry grants and grant aided by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), which is an arm’s length body of the Business Innovations and Skills Department. These transparency datasets follow Cabinet Office guidelines and reflect the expenditure of the Institute; however, this expenditure includes charitable and industry funding. To support the UK Government's drive to improve the transparency of how public funds are used we are pleased to release details of all our expenditure over £500. Expenditure, for the purposes of this exercise, is all individual invoices, grant payments, expense payments or other such transactions that are over £500. Expenditure on paybill is excluded from the scope of these disclosures. The data is provided in CSV format as defined by HM Treasury and is available from:
Publication of HR dataThe Government has given a clear commitment to greater transparency of public information and believes that the public should see how taxpayers’ money is being spent. In accordance with this commitment JIC has published details of senior staff posts and senior staff pay, summary data of junior staff numbers and pay, and an organogram of the senior management structure of the organisation.
