Applicants should fulfil the normal entry requirements for PhD registration at the University of East Anglia (UEA).
Important: Please ensure all sections of the application form are completed.
Advertised funded projects - If you are applying for an advertised project please give brief details of your research interests in your personal statement.
John Innes Centre (JIC) and The Sainsbury Laboratory (TSL) Rotation PhD - Please provide a description of your research interests describing what you feel you would gain from the Rotation Programme and three research areas of JIC/TSL science that most interest you and why.
Other applications - If you are applying for a research degree with the aim of securing your own funding from an external source please also include a research proposal of not more than 1000 words, giving the names of any research faculty members working in your research area.
If you know how you will fund your studies at this stage (e.g. self-funded, scholarship) please complete the financial guarantee form. Alternatively we will require completion of this form before you are formally admitted on to your course. Students applying for a funded studentship or rotation scholarship need not complete a financial guarantee form unless they have alternative funding.
