JIC Policy and Position StatementsFor the benefit of its staff, sponsors, stakeholders and the public the JIC from time to time publishes policy statements and position papers. These set out how particular matters, which affect the internal functioning of JIC, are to be dealt with, and the JIC's considered view on particular issues that may be of internal and/or external interest. Some JIC policies may be determined by the employment guide of the BBSRC e.g. those relating to Terms and Conditions of employment, or by external service providers, e.g. JANET's policy regarding the appropriate use of academic computer networks. The JIC also expects that staff who belong to professional and chartering bodies will adhere to the professional standards and codes of conduct that may be applicable. Position statements
